Representative of the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly this week in Brussel attends in activities of advocacy on the topic of women’s human rights and gender equality in terms of European Integration. This is regional program of advocacy with consultative meetings in Brussel which gathers numerous organizations from the region of Western Balkans and all in organization of the Swedish Foundation “Kvinna till Kvinna”.
Aim of this program is to provide women’s organization with greater visibility in the process of European Integration, to strengthen participation of women in all relevant processes and to ensure respect of women’s human rights. The week started with preparations and consultative meetings before EU institutions, EU parliamentarians and responsible persons for Balkan.
Advocacy Week in Brussel is organized annually in November and gives significant contribution to credibility and further activities of women’s organizations in the Western Balkans.
