This concept makes it possible to break down prejudices and build mutual understanding through open dialogue and honest conversation.
A Living Library is very important as one of the concepts in building peace because it promotes a culture of dialogue, tolerance and empathy.
This Living Library was also held during the period when the International Day of Peace is celebrated with various activities.
A Living Library allows listeners of living books, who talk about their challenges and read personal pages, to hear and understand other people’s experiences first hand, which helps in the process of breaking down stereotypes.
This activity, organized by the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Banja Luka, is implemented in partnership with the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
