The Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly (HCA) from Banja Luka is organizing the sixth online education entitled “Gender Equality in the EU Integration Process”. The activity is implemented in partnership with the Swedish Foundation Kvinna till Kvinna and the Heinrich Bӧll Foundation.
The Academy will be held from June 2 to 7 and will include 4 zoom workshops lasting 2 hours and reading literature/watching videos during other days in the mentioned period. The goal of this activity is to build the capacity of students from different cities in BiH to analyze, monitor and advocate for the improvement of women’s human rights during the integration of our country into the EU. The Online Academy will be organized for a group of about 15 participants, giving them answers to the questions: what is gender equality, how to be an active actor in public and political life, what is our role in environmental protection and how to influence the ongoing EU integration processes in BiH. Although the training is intended primarily for the student population, all other interested parties are welcome to join us.
Lectures will not only be theoretical. The transfer of knowledge will largely relate to personal experiences, knowledge exchange and as much interaction as possible.
After the training, all interested parties will have the opportunity to write papers on a given topic that will be published and presented to a wider audience, but also engaged in other types of activities. All published student papers on the HCA internet platforms will be modestly rewarded. They will also have the support of a mentor in this process. In order to present student analyses and share their information and knowledge, students will also have the opportunity to plan their presentations through various initiatives with faculties, non-government organizations and journalists.
Everyone who completes this training becomes part of our community – ALUMNI club, and depending on their personal interest, they have the opportunity to attend various events that we organize. In addition, students will have the opportunity to meet in person during July when we plan the annual meeting of the ALUMNI group. The group brings together all generations of students who have completed this training.
If you are interested in the Online Academy, send us your details (name and contact phone number) with an explanation of why you want to attend this education to the email address bilic@hcabl.org (Bojana Ilić).
We look forward to meeting you soon and to our joint online learning!
