Helsinki Citizens‘ Assembly was in Tuzla where it talked with representative of the Civil Protection of Tuzla Canton on crisis and specific vulnerabilities and needs of people during and after crisis. The reason for visiting was also interest of the Civil Protection for guideline “Gender Analysis of the Response to Crisis Situations in BiH” which provides recommendations for improving current practices of actions during specific situations thereby respecting various needs of men, women and other vulnerable categories. Further cooperation between our organization and the Civil Protection in terms of exchange of information and support was agreed. Our cooperation is happening at the same time when BiH became full member of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism – European framework of solidarity which helps countries impacted by catastrophe.
