We present to you a student paper that deals with the issue of discrimination against women with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a social challenge that includes a number of obstacles in the exercising fundamental human rights.
This paper analyzes existing laws and international conventions that regulate the rights of persons with disabilities and promote gender equality, with a special focus on the specific challenges and needs of women with disabilities. Also, the paper explores the practical barriers in exercising those rights and points to the role of non-government organizations and civil society in the fight against discrimination.
