First activities of the ENGAGE-BH project: Stakeholder mapping and preparation for capacity building

The ENGAGE-BH project has started its first activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on stakeholder mapping and community needs analysis. These activities are being implemented in cooperation with the Italian-BiH Chamber of Commerce (CCIB), the Foundation Flaminia Center for Innovation (CIFLA) and PRONI- Center for Youth Development.

Stakeholder Mapping and Needs Analysis

One of the key objectives of the first phase of the project is to identify relevant stakeholders from civil society, the business sector, academic institutions and research organizations. Through workshops, meetings and consultations, the working team is actively involved in the process of understanding the needs and challenges faced by local communities in the context of the green and digital transition.

These activities will enable the formulation of a comprehensive strategy that will contribute to sustainable solutions, aimed at strengthening capacities and fostering innovation in BiH.

Preparations for capacity building

In addition to the needs analysis, the working team is dedicated to organizing capacity building activities, which are planned for May. These activities will include thematic workshops aimed at strengthening skills in the field of sustainable development, innovation and active participation in creating strategies for digital and energy transition.

Through educational modules and interactive sessions, the project will contribute to the empowerment of youth, women and other relevant stakeholders, so that they can actively contribute to shaping future policies and initiatives in their community.

Next steps

In the coming months, the project will continue with intensive activities, including the development of a joint strategy, study visits to Italy and the organization of a final conference where the project results will be presented.

We remind you that the project “Next Generations for an All-Inclusive Green and Energy Transition in Bosnia and Herzegovina” is part of the Balkans 2024 program and is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy (MAECI).
