A Workshop on resilience and sustainability strategies of CSOs was held in Banja Luka, where participants exchanged experiences, practices and lessons learned with civil society organizations from other countries on how to respond to constraints in the state.
Representatives of CSOs from Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia shared their experiences.
At this workshop, which was well attended, it was pointed out that the space for the activities of CSOs and independent media, especially in the Republic of Srpska, has been significantly narrowed since the introduction of the criminalization of defamation, the determination of Draft of the so-called “Law on NGOs” in RS, attacks on activists and intimidation…
They discussed further effective strategies, cooperation and the fight for freedom of action, freedom of association and the affirmation of democratic rights.
The workshop was organized by the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Banja Luka and the European Center for Non-for Profit Law.
