Living Library fulfilled with living books is and effective, interesting and empathic way for overcoming prejudices, stronger connection of people and erasing stereotypes therefore we prepare one of their “readings” for journalists on June 24 at 6 P.M. in the Human Rights House Banja Luka on Street Srpska 5.
Living books are individuals that will share i.e. present everyone their stories and life experiences as open books.
Instead of reading words on paper, you will have opportunity to hear fascinated stories of living books and this innovative form of storytelling enables listeners to understand the world in more comprehensive way and hear different life pages through prism of other people.
At this event you will also have opportunity to talk with living books on their experiences and lessons learned.
Living books not only enrich our culture and understanding of different perspectives but also encourage empathy and dialogue among people.
This event is not only intended for media reporting but also for inspiration and thinking about how storytelling in this way can transform our attitudes and create opportunities for new friendships and contacts.
Reading living books will last from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. and afterwards it is planned refreshing and non-formal hanging out in Human Rights House Banja Luka.
Number of participants is limited so we are politely asking to confirm your participation no longer than June 21 (until Friday) and for all additional information you can contact: bilic@hcabl.org and viliktarevic@hcabl.org.
This activity, held by Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Banja Luka, is implemented in partnership with Foundation Heinrich Bӧll.
Moreover, presentation of this concept will be continuous for representatives of media in the upcoming period as well.
We are happy to see you attend!
