On Friday, December 9, 2022 at 7 p.m. in Dom Omladine, as part of the Day of Srđan in Banja Luka, a promotion of the book “A New Ending” by the Croatian author Đurđica Čilić will be held.
“Along with the figure of the mother, Bosnia is equally strongly present in the book – nobody’s, everyone’s, real and idealized, and inseparable from Đurđica because “he owes her too much to give her up”. One of the greatest qualities of A New Ending is its openness to readers. Without any prejudices and in a stylistic way, he mediates not at all banal stories. The whole poetry of life is captured in a simple form, and because of this book you will notice a poetic moment in your own life more closely – in the transport on the way to work, in the peace of the first morning coffee, in a statement full of love that your child writes on a post-it note, in all those partner, friendly and parental gestures that make our everyday life worthy of admiration and gratitude”, Maja Janković, professor of Croatian and Czech language and literature, wrote about the book.
Join us in promoting this interesting book!
