Many women suffer various types of violence every day, including on holidays and birthdays, and one of those violences is SEXUAL EXTORTION (sextortion).
During the street activities today, on March 8 – Women’s Day, we introduced citizens in Banja Luka, Tuzla and Zenica to the concept of sexual extortion and distributed adequate promotional material.
You have the right to a workplace!
You have the right to a higher salary!
You have the right to promotion!
You have the right to health and social protection!
You have the right to a well-deserved grade on the exam!
Without any kind of blackmail, sexual extortion, sexual harassment, corruption….
SEXUAL EXTORTION IS CORRUPTION!
Let’s break the silence!
The organizers of these street activities are the Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Banja Luka in cooperation with the Center of Women’s Rights Zenica and the Civil Movement Buđenje.
Sexual harassment is a combination of sexual harassment and corruption, that is, a gender-specific form of corruption, which is not formally and legally recognized as such in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It occurs when those entrusted with power use that power to sexually exploit those who are dependent on that power. The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness of this serious issue and break the silence that goes with it.
