The Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Banja Luka is organizing a two-day education “Strengthening the Monitoring and Protection of Human Rights Defenders: How to Strengthen and Network CSOs”, which will be held on February 3 and 4 at the Hotel “Vidović” in Banja Luka.
The aim of the education/training is to empower civil society organizations (CSOs) by providing them with tools and knowledge to improve their monitoring of human rights violations and strengthen cooperation within the civil sector.
The program includes interactive sessions on:
– Challenges faced by CSOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
– Legal frameworks and judicial practice for the protection of human rights defenders;
– Functionality and development of case tracking tools;
– Presentations of help lines for human rights defenders.
Participants will also engage in practical group work focused on identifying barriers, mapping legal challenges, and establishing effective reporting and advocacy frameworks.
This training provides a unique opportunity for civil society organizations to improve their capacities, exchange experiences, and encourage collaboration within the sector.
