In order to emphasize the seriousness of the need for a just and free society, and therefore positive peace in the BH society, the need to restore positive values to the pedestal both in society and in the life of the individual was highlighted. This is a topic analyzed by Alma Ahmethodžić, as part of the “Academy for Women’s Rights” project, which is implemented in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
By working on the topic Gender Equal Society in the Peace Building Process, we try to problematize gender inequality as a problem of BH society, and to detect opportunities and limitations that stand in the way of building a society that is gender equal. In support of this, statistical data and opinions of experts mentioned in the paper are provided. This research paper tries to emphasize the undertaking of building a just and free society, and this requires an interdisciplinary approach and engagement of the governmental and non-governmental sectors, individuals, groups, and society as a whole.
