GENDER EQUALITY IN THE EU INTEGRATION PROCESS

We present you the research paper we are very proud of because it was written by our youngest participant of this year Academy for Gender Equality and EU Integration. It is high school student Tara Dabić, who writes about gender equality, addressing her peers in the desire to share her knowledge and experience with them. No matter what enormous progress of technology and civilization in previous decade was, certain moral and ethical issues regarding society have not been resolved yet. Issue of gender equality is concerned to be controversial topic in numerous less developed states including Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is where the challenge arises, given that BiH aspires to integrate into the European Union, and many problems are ignored, as well as the problem of gender inequality, which must be improved in order for the country to continue its progress. As the member of the younger generation who learned about numerous issues, gender equality is the topic which has not been discussed, especially in schools. However, this is the exact reason of why I want to bring closer and explain current position of women to young people from my community. Education of young people brings us closer to the goal and that is progress and dedication of the society. Full version of the research paper is available here.

Activity is part of the project “Academy for Women’s Rights” which is implemented in cooperation with Foundation Heinrich Bӧll.
