It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the promotion of the book “Samodošli” by Petar Fehir, Croatian-Swedish writer, poet, dramatist and therapist, which will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Human Rights House Banjaluka (Street Srpska 5, 2nd floor).
The book “Samodošli” brings a poignant collection of stories about exiled, displaced and refugee children without guardians, who “spontaneously came” to Sweden. Through their authenticity, the author opens up the universal theme of not belonging and the search for promised land.
Fehir worked as a pedagogue with children with similar fates and stories, and his experience and knowledge give us concrete depictions about them. Among other things, Fehir himself “came” to the country where these stories take place, which gives the book additional authenticity and documentary quality.
Although these stories are based on real life, they are not written in the usual prose form, but in verse form.
In addition to the author, the new book will be discussed by actor and director Igor Galo, publisher Goran Gazdek, Vanja Stokić and Ajdin Kamber, award-winning journalists for stories about people on the move.
We look forward to your arrival!
